The LGBTQ Community And The Rainbow Flag

This post is addressing gay pride and not the sin of homosexuality. The actual sin of homosexuality is forgivable just like any other sin. However, the sin that the LGBTQ community has commited is that they are proud of their sin. They are denying what God has stated to be wrong. This is blasphemy which is an unforgivable sin.

There is an odd accuracy in the LGBTQ community using the rainbow as their flag. The rainbow is a sign in the Bible that God will not destroy the inhabitants of the earth because of their continual evil thoughts.

Genesis 6:5-8 – The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. 6 The Lord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled. 7 So the Lord said, “I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created—and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground—for I regret that I have made them.” 8 But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.

The evil of the people in the time of Noah, was that through compromise and manipulation, they had lived by philosophies in their heart, that were contrary to God’s and saw no wrong in it. Jesus mentions this in:

Matthew 24:37-39 – As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.

Jesus is stating that people today (like the LGBTQ community) will have compromised and manipulated the word of God to suit their sins. They will see nothing wrong with it due to their delusions, justifications and rationalizations, like the people in the time of Noah. Just like in the time of Noah, the LGBTQ community today are oblivious to their sin due to their manipulations. This despite Noah’s preachings and Jesus’ preaching and today’s preaching, that homosexuality is wrong and must be declared a sin and repented over. They are oblivious, until the flood comes again, which is death and the second coming of Jesus Christ.

In Luke’s gospel, he takes it further to actually include Sodom:

Luke 17:26-30 – “Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. 27 People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all.

28 “It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. 29 But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 “It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed.

Sodom’s sin was that they paraded their sin of homosexuality around. Although the sin of homosexuality was forgivable, the parading of this sin is not forgivable. The parade shows that they did not accept what God considered to be wrong. They saw nothing wrong with it to the extent that they were actually proud of their sin, and so they paraded around with no guilt or shame. When admitted and confessed to God as a sin, the sin of homosexuality becomes a transgression. This transgression is a forgivable sin.

However, the sin of calling what is wrong, right and blurring the lines of morality is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. This is an unforgivable sin. The people had twisted right from wrong and blurred the lines of morality with manipulation, compromise, rationalization and justifications. Until they no longer felt any guilt and shame for the sins they were committing. This allowed them to parade their sins, much like the parades of the LGBTQ community. They have manipulated right from wrong so much that they no longer feel guilt and shame over their sin. They no longer see anything wrong in homosexuality and so they parade their sin, meaning they have pride over a sin that they should be ashamed of.

If they would repent and identify homosexuality as a sin, God would of course, forgive them. Jesus states that the people in the time of Noah were eating and drinking, marrying and giving away in marriage. The people in the time of Lot were doing the same; eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting and building. He is referring to the complacency of the people. How through their justifications and manipulations, they went on with their lives, no longer feeling any shame or guilt over their sins. Through compromise, they no longer knew right from wrong to feel shameful. This means that they have twisted right from wrong. They declared their sin as moral and morality as sin. This is blasphemy.

Isaiah 5:20 – Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.

Proverbs 17:15 – He who justifies the wicked and he who condemns the righteous are both alike an abomination to the Lord.

We must be careful that we do not justify those who are twisting God’s word, or we will be guilty of the same sin of blasphemy as they are. And we must not condemn those who are speaking in righteousness, who are declaring and maintaining that homosexuality is wrong. In spite of this, we must not pervert God’s system of grace. We must also declare God’s complete and continual forgiveness for any homosexual who repents and identifies homosexuality as a sin.

This is why God destroyed the inhabitants of the earth during the time of Noah. Although homosexuality is a forgivable sin, the twisting of God’s word is not. To say that homosexuality is not a sin, is an eternal sin. And to state that homosexuality is not forgivable is also a perversion of the gospel. It is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. But homosexuality itself is a sin like any other, and if confessed, it is of course forgivable.

Noah refused to twist God’s word and philosophies. A righteous man refuses to twist God’s word. He maintains the integrity of the word, even if it doesn’t suit his circumstance. For example, a homosexual maintaining that homosexuality is wrong, in spite of his sexual disposition. This would be a man of integrity.

Genesis 6:9 –  This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God.

Hebrews 11:7 – By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.

This does not mean that Noah was perfect. It means that he refused to twist God’s word, regardless of his circumstance. The inhabitants of the earth twisted God’s word (which the LGBTQ community does based on their circumstance of being homosexual), and claimed it was right, spiritually. This is a violent act. We cannot punch and slap in the spirit;  this is how we are spiritually violent. We twist God’s word, making what is wrong, right and what is right, wrong. This is considered a violent act, spiritually.

Genesis 6:11-12 –  Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence. 12 God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways.

The scriptures are speaking of corrupted ways and beliefs, not actual physical violence. The people had corrupted their ways. God considers this violence. This is what the LGBTQ community has done with their philosophy of gay pride. It is wrong to be proud of a sin. It is wrong to parade your sin around with no guilt or shame. For a sin to be forgiven, there must be repentance, which includes shame and guilt.

Genesis 6:13 –  So God said to Noah, “I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth.

Now this is the difference between our time and Noah’s time. In Noah’s time, God was determined to destroy the blasphemers along with the earth and all the animals, during their current age in the current physical world.

Genesis 7:15-22 –  Pairs of all creatures that have the breath of life in them came to Noah and entered the ark. 16 The animals going in were male and female of every living thing, as God had commanded Noah. Then the Lord shut him in.

17 For forty days the flood kept coming on the earth, and as the waters increased they lifted the ark high above the earth. 18 The waters rose and increased greatly on the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the water. 19 They rose greatly on the earth, and all the high mountains under the entire heavens were covered. 20 The waters rose and covered the mountains to a depth of more than fifteen cubits. 21 Every living thing that moved on land perished—birds, livestock, wild animals, all the creatures that swarm over the earth, and all mankind. 22 Everything on dry land that had the breath of life in its nostrils died.

Genesis 7:22-23 –  Everything on dry land that had the breath of life in its nostrils died. 23 Every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out; people and animals and the creatures that move along the ground and the birds were wiped from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark.

Genesis 8:2-5 –  The fountains of the deep and the windows of the heavens were closed, the rain from the heavens was restrained, 3 and the waters receded from the earth continually. At the end of 150 days the waters had abated, 4 and in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat. 5 And the waters continued to abate until the tenth month; in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the tops of the mountains were seen.

13 By the first day of the first month of Noah’s six hundred and first year, the water had dried up from the earth. Noah then removed the covering from the ark and saw that the surface of the ground was dry. 14 By the twenty-seventh day of the second month the earth was completely dry.

15 Then God said to Noah, 16 “Come out of the ark, you and your wife and your sons and their wives. 17 Bring out every kind of living creature that is with you—the birds, the animals, and all the creatures that move along the ground—so they can multiply on the earth and be fruitful and increase in number on it.”

God destroyed the whole earth, all the animals and all of mankind (except for Noah, his wife, 3 sons, their wives and the animals in the Ark). Then he started the earth, mankind and all of the animals again, through those on the Ark. At this point, God makes a covenant/promise to Noah and his sons, that He will never again, destroy all life by a physical flood again. The next flood will be that of death, which comes to all living creatures, but never again a singular event.

Matthew 24:38-39 – In those days before the flood, the people were enjoying banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat. 39 People didn’t realize what was going to happen until the flood came and swept them all away. That is the way it will be when the Son of Man comes.

God makes this covenant in the following scriptures:

Genesis 8:20-22 – Then Noah built an altar to the Lord and, taking some of all the clean animals and clean birds, he sacrificed burnt offerings on it. 21 The Lord smelled the pleasing aroma and said in his heart: “Never again will I curse the ground because of humans, even though every inclination of the human heart is evil from childhood. And never again will I destroy all living creatures, as I have done.

22 “As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.”

Genesis 9:8-17 – Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him: 9 “I now establish my covenant with you and with your descendants after you 10 and with every living creature that was with you—the birds, the livestock and all the wild animals, all those that came out of the ark with you—every living creature on earth. 11 I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be destroyed by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.”

12 And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: 13 I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. 14 Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, 15 I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. 16 Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.”

17 So God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant I have established between me and all life on the earth.”

The rainbow is a sign of God’s tolerance of blasphemers on the earth. Although people continue to twist God’s word, His philosophies and morality as a whole, God has promised to all peoples, even to the animals, that he will not destroy them while they are on this earth ever again.

This covenant is the reason why the LGBTQ community can twist God’s word and still exist. They can claim to have gay pride, state there is nothing wrong with homosexuality and not be destroyed. They can commit this violent act against God’s word, but not be destroyed during this age.

In no way am I speaking here of homosexuals who repent and call homosexuality a sin. Even if they continue to annul this commandment in action, yet they truly believe it in philosophy (in their hearts). They believe it is a sin, yet they continue to commit homosexual acts, but state it is wrong to others without any justification, manipulation or rationalization. This would be a man of integrity. This is also what it means to ‘annul’. To believe something in philosophy but to annul in action. These people will be called ‘least’ in the kingdom of heaven, but will be in the kingdom, nonetheless.

2 Peter 2:5, 9-10 – if he did not spare the ancient world when he brought the flood on its ungodly people, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others;… 9 if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment. 10 This is especially true of those who follow the corrupt desire of the flesh and despise authority. Bold and arrogant, they are not afraid to heap abuse on celestial beings;

1 Peter 3:20-21 – to those who were disobedient long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water, 21 and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

What I am stating is that the repentant homosexual, who confesses homosexuality as a sin, will be saved since he has a clear conscience towards God. But the LGBTQ community, who claims that homosexuality is not a sin, either through the manipulation of God’s word or by calling God a liar, will not be saved. They will be destroyed by the flood of death, meaning the second death of hell. In spite of this, they will not be destroyed while here on this earth, due to God’s covenant.

The rainbow, a sign of God’s covenant, is the very reason the LGBTQ community is allowed to have such a thing as ‘gay pride’. Pride over a sin. This is why I state that the rainbow is an accurate flag to represent the LGBTQ community. The covenant that God made with Noah, whose symbol is the rainbow, is the only reason there is no destruction of blasphemers, who twist God’s word and twist right from wrong, on this earth today. Even the blasphemers are receiving God’s mercy and faithfulness!

Matthew 5:45 & 48 – that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous…48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

In no way, however, does this rainbow symbolize a covenant that stretches into the age to come. All blasphemers shall never be forgiven of the eternal sin of twisting God’s word and blurring right from wrong.

Daniel 12:2 – Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.

John 5:29 – and come out—those who have done what is good will rise to live, and those who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned.

Psalm 145:20 – The Lord watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy.

2 Peter 2:6 & 9 – if he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes, and made them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly; 7 and if he rescued Lot, a righteous man, who was distressed by the depraved conduct of the lawless 8 (for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard)— 9 if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment.

Matthew 13:49-50 – This is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous 50 and throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 25:46 – “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

None of this knowledge gives us the right to persecute the LGBTQ community.

Matthew 5:43-48 –  “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Even though at this point in time, it is often the Christian community being persecuted by the LGBTQ community, we are not meant to hate them. We are to continue preaching, speaking and trying to cause them to see the truth according to God’s word. Causing the light of truth to shine upon them and the waters of repentance to fall upon them like our heavenly Father does, without partiality or favoritism. And at all times, we should pray for them. How can this be achieved without spending time with them and having a relationship with them?

Many of the LGBTQ community do not understand the truth of what the word of God says regarding homosexuality. Homophobic Christian men and women also paint the scriptures without the grace of forgiveness for this sin. So let me reiterate: no matter how many times it is repeated by a repentant homosexual who confesses his actions as a sin, it will be forgiven, just like any other sin.

However, if a homosexual becomes tired of repenting due to feeling shame and guilt, and adds exceptions to the word of God. If he justifies his actions through rationalizations and manipulations, and no longer declares homosexuality as a sin, this is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit and it is an unforgivable sin.

Matthew 12:31-32 – And so I tell you, every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. 32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.

Those who are proud of their sin of homosexuality are a part of the LGBTQ community. They are considered blasphemers according to the Bible, who twist God’s word here on earth. Even though blasphemers are not forgiven, they will not be destroyed here on earth due to the covenant that God made with Noah, which is symbolized by the rainbow that they display.

Isaiah 54:9 – “To me this is like the days of Noah, when I swore that the waters of Noah would never again cover the earth…
